Bold Add High-Potential Middle Blocker Oliver King to 2025-26 Recruiting Class

TORONTO – The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men’s volleyball team continues to bolster its 2025-26 recruiting class with the addition of Oliver King, a 6’6″ middle blocker from Calgary, Alberta.

King, who currently attends Western Canada High School and plays for the Jr. Dinos Volleyball Club, brings a strong physical presence to the Bold’s frontcourt. Originally a high-performance baseball player in Alberta, his transition to volleyball has been marked by rapid development and an impressive work ethic.

“I am incredibly excited about adding Oliver to our program; he brings strong character, work ethic and great desire to improve,” said head coach Niko Rukavina. “Relatively new to volleyball and coming from high-performance baseball in Alberta, the ceiling is very high for his development and I can’t wait to see the player he becomes.”

King is eager to take the next step in his volleyball journey with the Bold.

“When I had my first meeting with Coach Niko, I knew that his vision for me as a player completely aligned with my view for myself as a student-athlete,” said King. “Along with TMU’s strong academic reputation and supportive environment for student-athletes like myself, I’m really excited to join a young core of recruits and explore the life of downtown Toronto.”

King is the latest addition to an already strong 2025-26 recruiting class for TMU, as head coach Niko Rukavina continues to shape the future of the program.
