Hannah Duchesneau of Queen’s Women’s Volleyball named first-team All-Canadian

WINNIPEG, Man. (March 12, 2025) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball’s Hannah Duchesneau was named a U SPORTS All-Canadian at the U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship Awards Banquet in Winnipeg on Wednesday night.

This marks the second year in a row that Duchesneau (Arts & Science) has been named a U SPORTS All-Canadian. The Sharon, Ont. native was also named OUA Player of the Year for 2025 earlier this month.

“Hannah is an incredibly talented athlete who excels in multiple areas of the game,” said Shanice Marcelle, head coach of the Queen’s Women’s Volleyball team. 

“Hannah is well deserving of National recognition as a First Team All Canadian after earning back-to-back OUA player of the year honours.”

Duchesneau’s offensive dominance was evident throughout the season, as the veteran ranked eighth in the OUA with 221 kills, averaging 3.30 kills per set. Duchesneau also ranked third in hitting percentage at .297.

Duchesneau helped lead the Gaels to a 17-3 record in the regular season, the best in the OUA.
